Explore Čegec Family Wine Cellar and Organic Viticulture
Our Čegec Family Farm spreads over an area of 17 ha. The vineyards cover 10% of the land and everything on our family farm (animals and agricultural products) revolves around winemaking. In 1992 we started learning more about organic farming practices and then we started introducing them gradually into our production and since 1997 we have been applying them completely which means that our family farm has been functioning as a well balanced living organism. In other words our farm is a natural system with balanced interrelationship between vegetation, soil, animals, men and the universe.
You are very welcome to come and visit our organic vinery here at Čegec Family Farm on Zelina wine road. Come and discover first Croatian organic wine accompanied by our delicious organic home-made food produced without agrochemicals and synthetic fertilizers. We started independent control over our production in 2001 after the Law on Organic Farming was adopted. In 2003 we were the first in Croatia to start producing CERTIFIED ORGANIC WINES. Organic wines are our main products but beside them we also make organic certified grains and their derivatives grinned in our own mill. Here you can also enjoy our fresh home baked bread from vintage owen and other tasteful home-made food.
